Formerly known as Joozy Joe, Joezy embodies exactly what artistry is; especially in the music world. Take a scroll through Joe's catalog, each single and project is packed with personality, substance and meaning. Colorful cover art, vibrant story telling, poetry all surrounding a hard yet smooth flow. Those qualities ooze from each song. He has displayed himself as an artist who takes pride in carefully crafting what he puts into the world. Joe is not afraid to express his concerns with society, his passion for life, his African roots and his beliefs; rather it be religious or those from his own life experiences. In 2019, Joezy dropped Story Time with Joe. A project rightfully titled, as he stayed consistent all throughout with his New York Times Best Seller flow, delivering lively storytelling over smooth hip hop beats. Off of that project he went on to use the time following, including covid quarantine to continue to display a top tier way with words. Giving his fans numerous spoken word performances live (pre-covid) as well as via social media. Putting on a show is far from a problem for this guy. Joezy is a man of the people. I had the honor of working with Joezy on a recent project which I am lucky to be part of because it is not only amazing sonically and visually but indeed another message that needs to be heard and I cannot wait for the rest of the world to hear and see.
