Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³» Dual Credit Student Accommodation Information
High school students fall under the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA), while college students fall under the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). This means the types of accommodations offered at a college may be different than those offered at a high school.
If you are an Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³» dual credit student with an IEP or 504 Plan, here’s what you need to know.
- If you’re taking dual credit courses at your high school, taught by high school faculty, your school will provide accommodations according to your plan.
- If you’re taking courses at an Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³» campus, online, or at your high school that are taught by Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³» faculty you must register with Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³» Disability Services to receive accommodations. Your instructors will not know about or be required to provide any of your accommodations otherwise.
